SHIPBUILDERS

Offer top capability flexibility

For shipbuilders to be attractive to customers they must design vessels that meet the specified requirement. The Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) can therefore be greatly enhanced when employing a modular ship product architecture that allows positions to be left open to accommodate flexible decision-making on end capabilities. This is also sometimes referred to as "designed for but not fitted with" (DFBNFW) method.

In designing in this way, the ship can be adapted for different missions and be quickly, and easily, upgraded during the lifetime of the ship by simply swapping out cubes.

CUBEDIN offers ship designers and builders a design manual on the development of a superior CUBEDIN position on a ship and 3D CAD data models of the physical interfaces for the concept.
